James Garrard Home- Mt Lebanon

Kentucky Governor's home in Bourbon County

Mount Lebanon, Residence Of Gov. Garrard, Near Paris, KY. 4 mi. north of Paris, home of James Garrard, 1749-1822, 2nd Governor of Ky., who is buried in the family graveyard nearby. Here met the first session of Bourbon County Court in 1786. Here the Governor's grand-daughter married a great-nephew of George Washington. The house, built of native stone, is still owned by descendents.")
